Stairway to Heaven Appeal
We would like to help the families of the deceased who are unable to financially provide their loved ones with a dignified departure from this world, (funeral)…. by covering the cost of the Funeral Director and Cremation. Whilst we are not in a society that simply disregards those that cannot pay for a funeral, there is great deal of humiliation inflicted upon their whole and extended families by way of means testing. They are expected to ask any living relative if they qualify for benefits, state help or will they be responsible for the funeral costs. Our aim is to help relieve this extremely distressing situation by providing funding towards some or all of the above costs.
Sudden
Sudden is a charity service providing help for suddenly-bereaved people, due to COVID-19, or any other illness, sudden event, or suicide. We provide a named case worker (over the phone or in other digital ways) from day one, onwards, for up to ten weeks, helping with emotional support and practical issues, and finding extra support for you in your community.
Lantern
Unresolved grief can have an adverse effect on our mental health, and many people are left with nowhere to turn at a time when they require emotional support. Dealing with grief can be a complicated process and Lantern will provide support with a free-to-use platform that encourages us to remember those people who have died by marking a special moment on our ’map of memories’.
